I want to congratulate the MMTP staff on the successful completion of the Joint Commission survey that took place yesterday and just concluded today. Our accreditation will continue another 3 years! Our surveyor, Ben Lewis, has 27 years of experience conducting surveys and stated that our program was in the extreme minority of programs integrating Substance use with Primary Care and Mental Health. Ben talked about how engaging he found our program to be for our patients and that in fact it is one of the few programs where he felt like he “worked
here”. He certainly recognized our efforts to create a patient centered and recovery oriented treatment environment.
During the two day visit we were able to showcase our strengths and where he found improvement opportunities we were able to articulate our vision and plans for improvement. We have all worked hard over this past year to transition with new leadership, new regulations, and many new initiatives. Your efforts have certainly paid off and I thank you all.
