Our Leadership

Whitney Young’s consumer led board of directors appointed CEO Dave Shippee in 2011. Shippee brought 30 years of healthcare management experience to lead the oldest and largest Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in the Capital Region. Since then Shippee is guiding WYH to become the parent company of Equinox, aligning shared operational strengths that support crisis intervention, youth programming, and a vital DV shelter. Recently, he initiated a $12 million capital improvement plan for WYH’s flagship Albany Health Center and the Outpatient Addictions Treatment Center, reinforcing the belief that all patients deserve care in a modern, welcoming environment.
