Family Dentistry

Good dental care means more than just having a great smile. When you take good care of your teeth, gums, and mouth, you'll prevent bad breath, tooth decay, and other diseases. With the proper care, you'll have a beautiful smile that will last you a long time!

As a dental patient at Whitney Young, you will receive great care right in your own neighborhood! We are the area's largest dental provider for Medicaid patients. We also welcome self-pay patients and most types of insurance.

The Dental Department provides full mouth x-rays, prophylaxis (cleaning), fluoride treatment, dental health education, fillings, extractions, partial and full dentures, limited root canal treatment, and emergency treatment.

Going to the dentist can be an uncomfortable experience for some of us, but our gentle and kind dentists and hygienists will put you at ease. We can show you the best ways to brush and floss; share information about the best foods to eat and those to avoid to promote good tooth health; and how to take good care of your teeth, gums and mouth.
