Family Alcoholism & Chemical Treatment Services

Alcoholism and chemical dependency are diseases that can be treated. If you need to learn more about the disease of addiction and want to know how to spot the signs of a problem in yourself and others then we can help.

At Whitney M. Young, Jr. Health Services' Family Alcoholism and Chemical Dependency Treatment Services (FACTS) Program, you'll get the support and guidance you need to take control of your life again or get lifesaving information for someone you care about.

FACTS, offers day and night rehabilitation services, which include:

  • Support groups for women, teens, or seniors with discussions such as job readiness, relapse prevention and former offenders
  • Use of the twelve-step program
  • Buprenorphine treatment as an alternative for heroin addiction and other opiate based drugs. (Buprenorphine is a safe non-addictive medication that blocks cravings for heroin and other opiate based drugs)
  • Counseling services for individuals, families and couples to help keep you on track, and make sure you are getting the help you need at FACTS and in the community
  • Age appropriate treatment for individuals 55+
  • Confidential medical and psychiatric services

In addition to rehabilitation services, FACTS also offers the following:

  • Immunizations against diseases such as Hepatitis A and B, and information how to protect yourself against other diseases, such as HIV and Hepatitis C
  • Transportation to and from treatment
  • Spanish speaking counselors and support groups
