In addition, to help people get the care and treatment they need, Whitney Young offers a sliding scale payment plan based on income and family size. To assist the staff in determining your eligibility based on income, you will be asked to bring ONE of the following documents to your appointment:
- Current year's tax form (1040)
- DSS determination letter
- Most recent pay stub
- Most recent unemployment stub
- Letter from your employer, signed and dated on company letterhead stating your salary or wages
- Most recent rent receipt

- Pfizer's Sharing the Care Program
- Rensselaer Cares, a cooperative program with Whitney Young's Troy Health Center, Seton Health/St. Mary's Hospital, Northeast Health/Samaritan Hospital and the Rensselaer County Medical Society that provides reduced or free prescriptions for Rensselaer County patients.
